About CC Scout
Operated by Robert Taylor, trading as CC Scout, a New Zealand sole trader. We provide fan-created Cricket Captain resources and optional paid software memberships. Contact r.taylor289@gmail.com with account, billing, support or legal questions.
Community resource
CC Scout provides fan-created information, links and files. Keep independent backups before applying a modification or editing a save. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping sign-in details secure and for activity performed through your account. Do not impersonate another person, share access unlawfully, attempt to open another member's private data or interfere with the service.
Private Stats Pack uploads
You may upload supported Cricket Captain 2024, 2025 and 2026 scorecard TXT files or ZIP archives for private analysis. Do not upload unrelated, unlawful or malicious files. CC Scout may reject encrypted archives, nested archives, unsafe paths, unsupported content or files that exceed published limits.
Stats Pack data is temporary and isolated by account. Raw-archive deletion is attempted after processing completes or finally fails. Clear save & exit requests deletion; after two inactive hours a session expires and private access is refused. Physical deletion is asynchronous and can occur later through cleanup jobs. Browser-close deletion is best effort. A one-day storage lifecycle makes remaining objects eligible for deletion; it is not an exact deletion deadline.
Paid subscriptions
Stats Pack Pro, Editor Pro and All Access are recurring subscriptions processed by Stripe when Checkout is available to your account. Creating a free account does not start a subscription. The plan, billing interval, price and next renewal timing are shown before you confirm payment.
Monthly subscriptions renew monthly and annual subscriptions renew annually until cancelled. Prices are charged in GBP. CC Scout is not currently registered for New Zealand GST, does not add New Zealand GST at Checkout and does not describe any part of the price as New Zealand GST. Only one Stripe subscription may be linked to an account. Plan changes may create a prorated charge or credit, which Stripe shows before confirmation.
You can cancel through the Stripe billing portal from your account. Ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. The separate Refunds & Cancellations Policy explains statutory remedies, the voluntary change-of-mind process, accidental payments, service problems and refund requests.
Independent legacy memberships and paused sales
A legacy Buy Me a Coffee (BMC) Stats Pack membership and a Stripe Editor membership are independent. Paying for, cancelling or changing one does not automatically cancel, refund or replace the other. Legacy BMC access is checked through owner-reviewed exports and reconciliation; it does not grant Editor access. Manage BMC renewals through Buy Me a Coffee. Contact us if the membership email differs from your verified CC Scout account.
A pause on new public purchases does not prevent existing Stripe customers from opening billing management for cancellation, payment-method updates and invoices. General purchases and plan upgrades remain subject to sales availability. A separately offered membership conversion has its own eligibility and confirmation steps; it does not silently cancel a BMC membership.
Editor compatibility and game updates
CC26 Editor supports only the game builds, Windows versions and career modes listed on our compatibility page. Support for one CC26 build does not mean that older builds or future updates are supported. Check this information before subscribing to Editor Pro or All Access.
Your subscription does not guarantee support for older builds or future Cricket Captain updates. Game updates are controlled by the game developer and may make some or all Editor features unavailable. We cannot promise when, or whether, support for a particular update will be added.
The Editor checks the game executable when attaching and blocks writes to unverified builds. These compatibility limits do not affect your statutory consumer rights or remedies where the paid service is not supplied as agreed.
Windows Editor devices and offline use
The shipped CC26 Editor uses one linked Windows installation per account. Unlink an existing device in your account before replacing it. Repeated device changes can be subject to a 24-hour cooldown. It normally rechecks licensing every 15 minutes while running. A previously validated installation can continue through a network outage for up to 72 hours, bounded by its credential expiry and membership paid-through or payment-grace date. Offline use is unavailable after an explicit licence refusal or when those limits expire; a revoked installation that is offline may remain usable until its cached allowance expires. A required software update or detected clock rollback can also prevent use.
Use supported game and Windows versions and copied single-player saves, with independent backups. Account closure or unlinking does not remotely erase local saves, backups or exports.
Payment failures and access
If a Stripe renewal fails, access supplied by that subscription may continue for up to seven days while payment is recovered. Access supplied by that subscription ends when that grace period expires or Stripe marks the subscription unpaid, cancelled, incomplete, expired or paused. Cancellation scheduled for the end of a paid period preserves that subscription's access until the paid-through date. This affects only access supplied by that Stripe subscription. Access from another valid Buy Me a Coffee membership or manual grant continues under its own conditions. A successful Checkout page alone does not grant access; CC Scout waits for verified billing confirmation.
Member submissions
You must have permission to share anything you upload. Do not submit malware, executable code, unlawful material, personal data, copyrighted files you cannot distribute, or content that infringes another person's rights. By submitting a file for publication, you give CC Scout a non-exclusive permission to store, review, display and distribute it through the community library until it is removed.
CC Scout may review, reject, remove or unpublish submissions. Moderation reduces risk but cannot guarantee that a community file is safe, compatible or accurate. Scan downloads and keep backups. Download counts are informational and may be corrected if abuse or technical errors are detected.
Availability and changes
Items marked Coming Soon are unavailable. We may maintain, update, replace or discontinue features, but this does not remove remedies that apply where a paid service is materially not supplied as agreed.
Intellectual property and independence
CC Scout's original site content and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Cricket Captain and related trademarks belong to their respective owners. CC Scout is an independent fan website and is not affiliated with Childish Things Ltd.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or any liability or consumer remedy that cannot legally be limited. Subject to those rights, CC Scout is not responsible for avoidable loss caused by ignoring installation instructions, failing to keep backups, using an unreviewed third-party file or using the Windows Editor outside its supported game and operating-system versions.
New Zealand law and complaints
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Consumers keep any mandatory protections and court rights that apply where they live. New Zealand consumers may also use the Disputes Tribunal or other remedies available under applicable law.
